For the cause of benefiting the victims, Hua Zang Si held a Beseeching Blessings Dharma Assembly for the North Bay wildfires on October 15, 2017.

The Hua Zang Si Dharma-Protecting Fellowship went to the disaster-stricken area to cooked and served warm dinners to the victims of North Bay wildfires

“While enjoying good fortune, we should never forget the misfortunes suffered.”

One:

“Regard all living beings as our families and parents!” Keeping the teaching of H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III in mind, 26 volunteers in ten vehicles rushed over to the disaster-stricken area in Santa Rosa to deliver warmth and care on Oct 21, 2017, leaving early in the morning at 7:30 am. The vehicles were packed with cooking materials, propane tanks, and woks, etc. Among the volunteers were a college student and a high school student who joined their mothers. There were also husbands and wives, or whole families. Brother Sun who lived in the northwest of the impacted area provided his large house and backyard to be our preparation area. He also offered two bedrooms for the volunteers to rest. All volunteers have one thing in common: a compassionate heart. They did everything with care and love from beginning to the end, including planning the menu for two meals, where to shop, what to use, to determining the number of people served and meal time, and so on, which you could feel in every dish created and the smiles on their faces. The Spring Hills Community Church in the town kindly provided the facility for serving the dinners.

The solemn church surrounded by red maple trees became shelter to more than 200 victims impacted by the North Bay wildfires. When fleeing from the fires, all they could grab with them was perhaps only a purse or a towel. Some even were in their pajamas. They left with empty hands and lost hope.

Two

At 6 pm on Oct. 21, the quiet church became bustling with people. More than ten volunteering brothers and sisters in red uniforms showed up with abundant food of a scrumptious dinner. They set up the warming trays along the side of the lawn. The chow mein, deep-fried egg rolls and wontons, stir-fry mix vegetables, fried rice and a couple of Chinese vegetarian dishes were all carefully planned and cooked. The line for the dinner, which stretched more than 200 meters, had more than 250 people. The victims were quiet, organized, and polite. When some were served more food, they actually told the servers, “There are more people behind me, take out some food so there will be enough for them.” After the meal, they all came to shake hands and hug the volunteers to express their thanks. They praised the meal as the best Chinese food they have ever had. In more than two hours from the sunset to when the lights turned on, all meals were served. We then saw the open-heart smiles from the faces of the victims who were trying to settle down after the disaster.

They estimated that about 100 people would come the next day. However, more than 200 people showed up. The volunteers still had enough food for the crowd. When the victims learned that that would be the last time to serve such a dinner, they all came to take pictures and say goodbye. A lady there said that this was her first time to taste such delicious egg rolls. Her husband never liked egg rolls, yet, that day for the first time, he ate two.

Three

What is the story behind the delicious food of love? During the two consecutive days, the volunteers stood in the cold in their thick winter jackets in the early morning. They picked, washed, and cut the vegetables and then they started to turn on the wok to steam, boil, and stir fry.   At noon, however, in the blazing sun, the sweats poured down their cheeks even when they only wore T-shirts. In the heat, the brothers and sisters did not hesitate at all especially when they were standing by the hot wok deep frying the egg rolls and stir frying the vegetables and noodles. All of them worked together until after 5 pm which was time to load the food in the cars for serving at the church.

The volunteers brought three big woks, four long tables, ingredients and all cooking tools from San Francisco, but not chairs for themselves. They said that they wanted to reserve more space for food and tools. Also, when the brothers went to purchase the cooking ingredients, they experienced a touching moment. When the Chinese owner of Fresh Green Inc. learned that the food would be used to serve the victims, without another thought, he decided to donate several dozens of boxes of cooking ingredients for this cause.

Resolves come from intentions and intentions will grow into faith which will help us to attain accomplishment. When our heart goes out to others, when we feel the pain of the families in disasters, we then learn to appreciate the fortune we have now and will do things that will increase our fortune. Thinking back about the Beseeching Blessings Dharma Assembly for the victims of the North Bay wildfires held by Hua Zang Si on October 15, Abbess Dharma Master Ruo Hui gave a speech at the end of the ceremony: “All should do what they can to help out. Help the victims as if you are helping your own families. Help them to walk out of their grieving. Bring them health, peace, and happiness.” After the event, many attendees made donations. Right there, the Dharma-Protecting Fellowship took the initiative and expressed their intentions to the abbess to put together a project to help the victims.

Four

A week has passed since the disaster-relief effort with love and care. Those touching moments still flash before my eyes. Through the volunteering project, all united together and manifested the teamwork spirit to the utmost. The project was like a big family reunion. There, they worked together and expressed their care for each other and more. They did that with joy in their heart and felt fulfilled.

Wildfires, Houses, Red maple leaves, and the Church, all things in the world are conditional and subject to impermanence. Look up at the birds flying by the church.   They passed. Yet, they left no trace behind.

May the compassion of all Buddhas and Bodhisattvas empower all of our parents to leave their sufferings and experience prosperity and auspiciousness!

SOLEMN-STATEMENT-1

SOLEMN STATEMENT

After World Buddhism Publishing and World Dharma Voice Inc. jointly published the book H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III, and after various media announced the news that leaders, dharma kings, and rinpoches worldwide from each of the major Buddhist sects have recognized the identity of and have congratulated H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III, people who understand the true situation happily said, “H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III has formally come to our world. The karmic conditions of living beings relating to good fortune and wisdom have finally matured such that they can now personally receive the teachings of a Buddha.” However, people who do not understand the situation and some demonic people have taken this opportunity to make trouble. They have falsely claimed to be the disciples of certain masters of great holiness and virtue. They have stated on the internet that those masters of great holiness and virtue did not recognize the identity of or congratulate H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III. Additionally, they have groundlessly criticized our two publishing companies.

Many good Buddhist disciples do not know what to do in the face of this confusion caused by this extremely small number of people. Those many good Buddhists have no way of distinguishing between what is true and what is false. They have also used a variety of different methods to inquire of us about this matter. We asked the Office of H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III to answer these questions, but that office strictly adheres to the admonishments of the Buddhas to be unmoved by any circumstances and to abstain from sullying oneself through quarreling. Our publishing companies understand that the Office of H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III was right when it said that this is a dispute caused by those who have the mindset of an ordinary person. However, for the sake of the good fortune and wisdom of living beings, we have decided to make an exception and give our open response this one time. This will be the only time we do so. From this time on, we will not answer one after another of this type of question. The reason is that all of this is not part of true cultivation that one engages in on the path to enlightenment. Rather, all of this has resulted from the conduct of those who have extremely strong attachment to self. Such conduct will lead to their descent into one of the three lower realms of existence and is the source of bad karma.

FIRST, the recognitions of identity and the congratulations issued by dharma kings and rinpoches to H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III were solemnly made based upon the realization and karmic affinity of each of those dharma kings and rinpoches and based upon the rules of Tibetan Buddhism for recognizing the incarnation of a rinpoche. All of the dharma kings and rinpoches listed in the treasure book H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III issued their letters of recognition or supporting congratulatory letters in accordance with the dharma. Moreover, they stamped those documents with a seal required by the dharma or with their own fingerprint. There is something that must first be understood. Could it possibly be that those dharma kings and rinpoches do not clearly believe in the law of cause and effect? Could it possibly be that they would ignore the facts and write recklessly? Those dharma kings and rinpoches, based upon their enlightenment, act with utmost solemnity, act according to the teachings and the dharma, and act responsibly toward living beings. Those recognitions and congratulations are extremely holy and solemn!

It should be specially noted that out of caution those dharma kings and rinpoches of holy virtue had a photograph taken of them actually writing their recognition or congratulatory letter. We had planned to publish in the treasure book the photographs of those dharma kings and rinpoches writing and stamping their seal or fingerprint upon their recognition or congratulatory letter. However, H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III did not agree with our plan to openly publish such photographs. H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha IIIsaid, “We must respect those dharma kings and rinpoches. To openly publish those photographs would be impolite. Publishing them is not something that a self-cultivator would do. If people with bad karma want to berate me, then so be it. I do not pay any attention to words that praise or blame me. What I care about is benefiting living beings.”

Therefore, no matter how the outside world acted, we complied with the teachings of H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III and did not make public those valuable photographs.

However, there are now demonic people who are insulting a Buddha and going against their own master. They have already caused great harm to living beings. In order to uphold the dignity of Buddhism and the interests of living beings, we will in this statement refute them with a few points in the hope that these demonic people will stop being bad people, will escape from their state of degeneration, and will have a chance to learn the true Buddha-dharma and attain liberation.

Why do we call these slanderers demonic people? They have openly denied, insulted, and opposed the decision of their own master of great holiness and virtue to recognize or congratulate H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III. That alone is a breach of the fourteen basic precepts of the esoteric school and the planting of seeds leading to rebirth in hell. Such conduct constitutes the conduct of a demonic person.

Of course, we believe that among such demonic people are many frauds who falsely claim to be disciples of masters of holy virtue. Such individuals have falsely claimed to be disciples of H.H. Dharma King Omniscience Jamyang Lungdok Gyaltsen Achuk Lama of the Nyingma school; H.H. Dharma King Jigme Dorje, the supreme leader of the Jonang school; H.E. Mighty Lion Dharma King Renzeng Nima, who is the root master of Nianlong Rinpoche and Dakini Deri Lamao; H.E. Dharma King Ngagwang Pedma Namgyal Palzangpo of the Jonang school; H.E. Xiazhu Qiuyang Rinpoche of the Geluk school; and H.E. Dorje Rinzin Rinpoche, a person of great holiness and virtue who went into retreat for thirty years. They have also started rumors that these masters of holy virtue did not write recognitions or congratulations. In response, we are now releasing photographs of only those masters of holy virtue who those demonic evildoers mentioned; namely, H.H. Dharma King Omniscience Jamyang Lungdok Gyaltsen, H.H. Dharma King Jigme Dorje, H.E. Mighty Lion Dharma King Renzeng Nima, H.E. Dharma King Ngagwang Pedma Namgyal Palzangpo, H.E. Xiazhu Qiuyang Rinpoche, and H.E. Dorje Rinzin Rinpoche. The photographs were taken when those masters of holy virtue were stamping their seal or fingerprint upon the recognition or congratulatory letter that they wrote to H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III.

We would first like to express our sincere apology to those dharma kings and rinpoches. We had no choice but to make public those precious and holy photographs. However, we want to emphasize that our goal in providing people of the world with these photographs is not to prevail over anyone or prove that we are genuine and others are false. Rather, our goal is to tell all Buddhist disciples and all good people that they should not be duped and led astray by those demonic people. We even tell those demonic people whose goals are to harm the true dharma of the Tathagata and destroy the wisdom-root of living beings that they should stop before it is too late and repent. Furthermore, we will only respond to these questions this one time. In the future, no matter who it is and no matter what their goals may be, we will definitely not fall into the net of quarreling and samsara laid by those demonic people. We will not turn over and over in that net, responding to them time and time again. That is because those people who have broken the precepts of the esoteric school are not qualified to talk to us. They are full of negative karma. Whoever comes into contact with them will have bad luck. Within the fourteen basic precepts of the esoteric school there is the clear prohibition against discussions with evil people. Therefore, we will definitely not provide any material on other masters of great holiness and virtue in response to the rumors of demonic people.

SECOND, H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III is the first one in human history to have truly manifested the state of complete proficiency in exoteric and esoteric Buddhism and perfect mastery of the Five Vidyas. The treasure book H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III contains thirty different categories of accomplishments attained single-handedly by H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III. Nonetheless, those thirty categories of ccomplishments represent only a tiny bit of the overall accomplishments of H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III.

If anyone has any doubts about this, we welcome him to take the test according to the rules of the Blue Platform Verification that was established in the book H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III. That test involves achievements in only two of the thirty categories. Anyone who could do that would not only obtain US$20,000,000, he would also prove that everything he said was correct. Anyone who cannot pass that test but who still wantonly slanders H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III and opposes the recognition or congratulation issued by his own master is undoubtedly a demon who insults a Buddha and opposes his master or is a just a scoundrel in society.

THIRD, everyone should ponder the following. H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III has been able to manifest the dharma through thirty different categories of accomplishments, which shows supreme wisdom unprecedented in history. Assuming that His Holiness had not received recognitions and congratulations from dharma kings and rinpoches of each of the sects of Buddhism, how could such a being of supreme wisdom be so stupid as to falsify documents and thereby subject Himself to great criticism? As publishers, how could we have possibly decided to publish those recognitions and congratulations in the book if we did not have witnesses and evidence proving the genuineness of those documents? If we did not have such witnesses and evidence, what would we use as evidence to prove our case if we wanted to sue those deceivers should they one day become too egregious? The present time is the age of the internet. There is no distinction between far and near anymore with respect to any two places in the world. Anyone with a phone can now determine what is true and what is false. Wouldn’t fabricating those recognitions and congratulations be tantamount to shooting yourself in the foot?

Take, for example, the recognition letter issued by H.H. Dharma King Sakya Trizin. The content of that original letter is published in the book. What is written in that letter is very clear. You will know what it says from one quick reading of it. Moreover, in front of six people, H.H. Dharma King Sakya Trizin personally handed over that already written recognition letter to two people so they could deliver it. One of those two people was Respected Khenpo Chucheng Qupei, who was conferred the title of khenpo by H.H. Sakya Trizin, and the other was Venerable Baima Dorje Rinpoche. Photographs were taken and there were witnesses. Additionally, Respected Khenpo Chucheng Qupei had a photograph taken of him holding the recognition letter written by the dharma king. Respected Khenpo Chucheng Qupei also wrote a verification about it.

Thus, some demonic people or deceivers pretending to be disciples of these holy dharma kings and rinpoches are spreading rumors and slandering the true dharma of the Tathagata. If anyone dares to continue this slander, this immoral denial of truth, we will certainly sue them. It is very simple. The truth can easily be discerned. The handwriting, seals, and red inkpads of those dharma kings and rinpoches still exist. Their hands certainly touched the recognition certificates that they wrote. Naturally, their fingerprints are on their recognition or congratulatory documents. Simple forensic evidence can determine the truth very clearly. Moreover, there is evidence of the country and the location in the country where each of those dharma kings and rinpoches was at the time they wrote their recognition or congratulation. There are records indicating when the contact person who received such a document entered and left the country. There are photographs that were taken at the time such documents were handed over. There are many people who can testify as to what happened. There is other evidence as well. All of this is sufficient evidence for us to institute a lawsuit and seek compensation for harm to reputation and economic loss. If the harm that those lowly people cause results in loss of sales of a large quantity of books, we will at any cost take legal measures. In that lawsuit, we will make them show their faces, will discredit them thoroughly, and will bankrupt them.

Actually, before the treasure book H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III was published, Venerable Khu-ston brTson-‘grus g.yung-drung V Henghsing Gyatso Rinpoche, who traveled more than 1,100 kilometers around the island of Taiwan by making a full prostration after each step, predicted that there would be three types of people who would oppose the book. He said, “The first type of people lack knowledge and talent and have low insight. Their opposition will stem from their ignorance and inferior conduct. The second type of people undoubtedly consists of demons who have incarnated as humans. Their savage, cruel, and evil nature will cause them to oppose this book. The third type of people is composed of those who are rinpoches or great dharma teachers in name but who actually lack realization, do not understand both exoteric and esoteric Buddhism, and are not proficient in the Five Vidyas. They will oppose this book in order to hide their shortcomings. However, all three types of people share common characteristics. They express erroneous reasoning, indulge in high-sounding but meaningless talk, utter empty words about the subtleties of Zen, or are so-called highly virtuous people who assume solemn airs. In fact, they have no abilities or realization whatsoever. If you do not believe me, then you should carefully observe them. They could not accomplish the feats shown in even half of the ategories contained in this precious book.” Those people also would not dare say that they will use whatever enlightenment or wisdom they may have to obtain the reward of US$20,000,000 and in so doing show that the recognitions of H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III do not stand.

FOURTH, there are many Buddhist disciples today who say that they learn from their dharma king or rinpoche master. They say that their three karmas correspond with those of their master. However, in a disguised or covert way, they actually oppose their dharma king or rinpoche master. For example, there is the Nyingma Tribune published by the Buddhism Alliance Society on the internet. This is a typical example of those who oppose H.H. Dharma King Achuk while flaunting the banner of H.H. Dharma King Achuk. H.H. Dharma Kig Achuk clearly recognized the identity of H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III. Those people, however, in a disguised or covert way, go against their master, H.H. Dharma King Achuk, by wantonly slandering H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III. Based on this alone, they have already completely violated the first of the fourteen precepts of the esoteric school. The fourteen precepts of the esoteric school were not recklessly made up by someone. Rather, from ancient times to modern times, anyone who learns the esoteric dharma must abide by these precepts.

For example, when H.H. Dharma King Omniscience Achuk Lama confirmed that Khenpo Aqiong had attained the rainbow body state, he gave clear and definite instructions that strictly prohibited anyone who had violated the fourteen precepts of the esoteric school from touching the deceased body of Khenpo Aqiong. Otherwise, the deceased body of Khenpo Aqiong would not transform into rainbow light. Think about this. Even a greatly accomplished person cannot attain liberation if after he dies his body is touched by one who has violated the fourteen precepts of the esoteric school. Given this, can an ordinary Buddhist disciple who associates with one who has violated the fourteen precepts of the esoteric school still attain liberation? What’s more, those people slandered a Buddha and insulted their master. The only place that could await them is hell!

The fourteen precepts of the esoteric school clearly state that one will descend into the vajra hell if one drinks the same cup of water that an evil person drank or if one sits on the same bench that an evil person sat on. Those precepts also clearly state that if one talks with an evil person or conspires with an evil person one will surely have committed an offense on par with having committed one of the Five Heinous Crimes.

Thus, we say to all Buddhist disciples and good people that if you have met those demonic people who slander H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III and who slander the dharma kings and rinpoches who recognized and congratulated H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III, or if you have seen the Nyingma Tribune website or other like websites, articles, etc., you must cut off all relations with such people and must never again visit such websites. Otherwise, not only will you not become accomplished in the dharma, you will instead be contaminated with endless bad karma. Consequently, you will not be able to attain liberation, and you will lose your good fortune and wisdom. But these things are minor compared to the fact that you will be equally culpable as those slanderers.

This human life is difficult to come by in countless eons, as is the learning of the Buddha-dharma. If you do not become liberated in this lifetime, could it possibly be that instead you will forever stay in the hell of uninterrupted suffering? Quickly leave those deceivers, bad people, and demonic people. Change your evil ways and follow what is good. If you have slandered out of ignorance, quickly repent and move back toward the shore of salvation. If you do, the magnificent H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III will empower you, and the dharma kings and rinpoches of great virtue will pray for your good fortune. They will do this to enable you to leave the sea of suffering soon. If you have the karmic affinity to hear only five days of the recorded dharma discourses of H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III, that will be enough. You will be moved at having found the true dharma of the Tathagata!

We will not discuss here all of the many supreme teachings on the dharma given by H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III. We will only mention here that H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III has vowed that He will simply benefit living beings and that He will never accept offerings. Is that the conduct of a deceiver or bad person? What bad person in this world has such a mentality? Are there prior examples of this in history? No. There is not even one prior example! Only H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III, this most magnificent Buddha, has made such a vow and has carried it out!!!

FIFTH, both humans and celestial beings deeply admire the awesome virtue of H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III. On June 21, 2008 in San Francisco, U.S.A., the International Buddhism Sangha Association held a grand assembly to honor the treasure book H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III. At that dharma assembly, the Buddhas, Bodhisattvas, and dharma protecting deities made nectar descend from a holy tree in order to offer their congratulations. At that time, the hot sun was high in the sky, and it was 86 degrees Fahrenheit. Still, nectar fell for two days and two nights, like fluttering snowflakes in a big snowfall. More than one thousand people who were there witnessed that scene. We welcome everyone to view the video of that scene shot live. That video will be given as a gift to all those with the karmic affinity to receive it. Could it possibly be that an ordinary person is able evoke such wonderful and auspicious phenomena? This thoroughly proves that the treasure book H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III is a treasury of the highest Buddha-dharma!

Let us not engage in idle talk. No matter what status you may have, if you have special abilities, then respond to the Blue Platform Verification offer and obtain the reward of US$20,000,000. If you make false charges, slander, or deny yet do not dare respond to the Blue Platform Verification offer, then everyone will know that you are just a demonic person or deceiver who cannot bear the light of day. That is because you have no morals, wisdom, or skills!

The Explanation of the Buddha’s Title – “H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III”

On April 3, 2008, a solemn and dignified first-publishing ceremony of a fact-recording book entitled H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III, which published jointly by the World Buddhism Publishing LLC and the World Dharma Voice, Inc.,  was held at the Library of the Congress of the United States. The book was also formally accepted into the collection of the Library of the Congress of the United States. Only since that time, did people in the world know that Master Wan Ko Yee, who had been broadly respected by the great masses and who had also been known as Great Dharma King Yangwo Yeshe Norbu, had been recognized by the world’s leaders, regent dharma kings, and great rinpoches of Buddhism through official documents as the third incarnation of Dorje Chang Buddha, who is the primordial Sambhogakaya Buddha of the universe. The Buddha’s name is H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III. Since then, people began to address His Holiness the Buddha by “Namo  Dorje Chang Buddha III.” This is similar to the situation that Sakyamuni Buddha’s name was Prince Siddhartha Gotama before attaining Buddhahood. However, after Sakyamuni Buddha had attained Buddhahood, His title changed to “Namo Sakyamuni Buddha.” That is why we now address His Holiness the Buddha as “H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III.”

In particular, on December 12, 2012, the Senate Resolution No. 614 of the United States Congress officially used “His Holiness” in the name addressing Dorje Chang Buddha III (That is to say, “H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III.”) Since then, the title and status of H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III has been definitive by nature. And, as a matter of fact, “Dorje Chang Buddha III” is a name used legally in governmental and official legislative documents. Therefore, the previously used respected name and titles such as “Wan Ko Yee,” Great Master, and Great Dharma King no longer exist.

However, the news below was published before the Buddha’s title of H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III was publicly announced. At that time, people did not know about the true status of His Holiness the Buddha. Therefore, to respect the true history, we still kept the names used before the title of H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III was legitimately determined in republishing this news. However, all must clearly know that the only legitimate name of His Holiness the Buddha is H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III and all other names used before the legitimate determination no longer exist.

[1] “Namo” is a Buddhist term originated from the transliteration of the Sanskrit term “namas” which has the meaning of respect and has been widely used as a prefix for expressing supreme respect when addressing a highest holy being such as a Buddha. It is equivalent to the prefix of “H.H.” used by other religions in western languages (e.g., addressing the Pope of Catholics).

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE INCARNATION OF DORJE CHANG BUDDHA

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE INCARNATION OF DORJE CHANG BUDDHA

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE INCARNATION OF DORJE CHANG BUDDHA

Dorje Chang Buddha is Buddha Vajradhara (金剛總持, pronounced jin gang zong chi in Chinese, which literally means “Supreme Ruler of the Vajra Beings”) and is also called in Chinese 持金剛 (pronounced chi jin gang, which literally means “Ruler of the Vajra Beings”). Dorje Chang Buddha is not 金剛持 (pronounced jin gang chi in Chinese, which means “Practitioner of the Vajra” as explained below). In English, people often use the word vajradhara to refer to a 金剛持 (jin gang chi), or Practitioner of the Vajra. Actually a 金剛持 (vajradhara) is a master or guru. BuddhaVajradhara is a Buddha. Moreover, Buddha Vajradhara is the primordial sambhogakaya Buddha whose sambhogakaya manifested out of the dharmakaya of Adharma Buddha (Adi Buddha, or Samantabhadra Tathagata). All of the Buddha-dharma of Buddha Vajradhara originated from the tathata (true suchness) of Samantabhadra Tathagata. With respect to the dharmakaya of Samantabhadra Tathagata, there is no past and no future. Without form yet not empty, He neither comes nor goes. There are no Buddhas above Him to become. There are no living beings below Him to be saved. Such is His absolute truth. Thus, the dharma-body state of Samantabhadra Tathagata is without signs or characteristics, without speech, and without form. As such, there is no subject or being who could expound the dharma. Without such a subject or being, the multitudinous living beings could not be saved.

Because of such karmic conditions, the formless dharmakaya Buddha generated the first sambhogakaya Buddha with form. This sambhogakaya Buddha with form transformed into Vajrasattva and other nirmanakayas. In order to make a distinction between those three, the dharmakaya Buddha was named Adharma Buddha; the sambhogakaya Buddha was named Dorje Chang Buddha; the nirmanakaya was named Vajrasattva. Actually, all three are Samantabhadra Tathagata, all three are Adharma Buddha, and three are Dorje Chang Buddha. In truth, there are not two Buddhas. These distinctions are due to a dharmakaya, sambhogakaya, and nirmanakaya. Based on this dharma, Samantabhadra Tathagata did not directly incarnate. Even the ancient Buddha Dipankara and Vajrasattva were the nirmanakayas of Dorje Chang Buddha.

Dorje Chang Buddha is also called Buddha Vajradhara or Ruler of the Vajra Beings (持金剛 chi jin gang). In the entire universe, Dorje Chang Buddha is the first Buddha with form and is the highest Buddha. That is, the highest leader of Buddhism in the entire universe came into being in the form of Dorje Chang Buddha. It was Dorje Chang Buddha who began transmitting dharma and saving living beings in the dharmadhatu. As a result, Buddhism was born and the Buddha-dharma began spreading.

However, many sects and lineages list Samantabhadra Tathagata as the first Buddha who began all the lineages in the dharmadhatu. This way of thinking is actually correct as well. That is because although Samantabhadra Tathagata is a dharmakaya without form and has no way of speaking, the origin lies with this dharmakaya from which the sambhogakaya Dorje Chang Buddha manifested. This sambhogakaya Buddha was the first one to spread the Buddha-dharma in the dharmadhatu. That sambhogakaya Buddha also transformed into Vajrasattva and other nirmanakayas whospread the dharma in the triloka (three spheres). Because of the birth of Dorje Chang Buddha, living beings were thus able to become holy beings in accordance with His dharma teachings.

We often see in dharma books a blue image of Adharma Buddha. Actually, this image is a symbol. Such a symbolic form is necessary since the tathata emptiness of Adharma Buddha is invisible and cannot be depicted in a thangka. There is no way to draw the shape of emptiness. The dharmakaya has no features that can be pictorially depicted. In fact, the concept of dharmakaya is the absolute truth of the universe (dharmadhatu) that is not born and does not perish. The sambhogakaya Buddha (Buddha Vajradhara) manifested out of this concept of not being born and not perishing.

Dorje Chang Buddha is the ancient, primordial sambhogakaya Buddha. He has the unsurpassed virtuous appearance that all of the Buddhas in the ten directions have. He was the first in the dharmadhatu and triloka (three spheres) to express the dharma. Therefore, Buddha Vajradhara, or Dorje Chang Buddha, is actually the greatest leader of Buddhism in the entire dharmadhatu. He is the original ancestor of Buddhism.

However, many Buddhists misinterpret Dorje Chang Buddha, or Buddha Vajradhara, as being a 金剛持 (jin gang chi), or Practitioner of the Vajra (i.e. vajradhara). This is a mistake in a matter of principle that carries with it a karmic offence. Buddha Vajradhara has the meaning of one who is in charge of and has supervision over all of the vajra beings. Thus, He is the 持金剛 (chi jin gang) or Ruler of the Vajra Beings, the one who has dominion over the vajra beings. On the other hand, a 金剛持 (jin gang chi), or Practitioner of the Vajra (i.e. vajradhara), is one who learns the dharma and teaches others. Such a person enlightens himself and others. The term 金剛持 (jin gang chi), or Practitioner of the Vajra, connotes Vajra Master. There is a world of difference between a 金剛持 (jin gang chi) or Practitioner of the Vajra on the one hand and a 持金剛  (chi jin gang) or Ruler of the Vajra Beings on the other hand.

Buddha Vajradhara (also called Ruler of the Vajra Beings) has passed down dharma to all of the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, who received such dharma. All of the Buddha-dharma of both exoteric and esoteric Buddhism was originally transmitted by this Ruler of the Vajra Beings. The 84,000 dharma methods that Sakyamuni Buddha taught were transmitted to Sakyamuni Buddha by the ancient Buddha Dipankara, who was a nirmanakaya of Dorje Chang Buddha. Tibetan esoteric Buddhism, which contains all of the dharma of the Nyingma, Sakya, Jonang, Kagyu, andGeluk sects, including the Kalachakra Vajra Dharma transmitted by Sakyamuni Buddha; Japanese esoteric Buddhism; and esoteric Buddhism taught by Sakyamuni Buddha contained in the Tripitaka all come from the lineage of which Dorje Chang Buddha is the original ancestor or from the lineage of His nirmanakaya, Vajrasattva. 金剛總持 Buddha Vajradhara or Ruler of the Vajra Beings is the supreme leader of Buddhism in the dharmadhatu. He is not a Vajra Master who is a 金剛持 (jin gang chi), or Practitioner of the Vajra (i.e. vajradhara).

When disciples find a qualified master, they should visualize their Vajra Master as being a Buddha. This is done out of respect for the dharma and respect for one’s lineage. However, no matter what type of master he may be, if his identity or status has not been recognized as a Buddha by rinpoches of great holiness in accordance with the dharma, then he is not a Buddha. Still, the disciple must visualize Him as a Buddha. Even the holy and venerable Vimalakirti, who as the second Buddha Vajradhara, was affirmed as a Tathagata (Buddha) through an announcement of Sakyamuni Buddha.

The incarnation of Dorje Chang Buddha is different from the nirmanakayas of any other Buddha. Such an incarnation is a primordial manifestation of the existence of Buddha-dharma. In each world of living beings, there can be at any one time only one incarnation of Dorje Chang Buddha, who manifests or expresses the existence of the true dharma. There will not be a second incarnation of Dorje Chang Buddha in the same age or era. Only after the first incarnation of Dorje Chang Buddha leaves the world can the second incarnation be born based on karmic conditions relating to the good fortune of living beings. For example, the holy and venerable Vimalakirti, who was the second Dorje Chang Buddha, took birth in this earthly realm in the past. The third Dorje Chang Buddha, H.H. Wan Ko Yeshe Norbu, took birth in this earthly realm more than two thousand years after Vimalakirti left it and only when karmic conditions relating to the good fortune of living beings had matured.

Nobody can get away with falsely claiming to be the incarnation of Dorje Chang Buddha. In order to protect the dignity of the Buddha-dharma in the dharmadhatu and prevent demons from falsely claiming to be Buddha Vajradhara or the Ruler of the Vajra Beings, Buddha Vajradhara must be born with His own dharma and realization so that He may manifest or express the dharma. No other Buddha is able to manifest realization equal to the realization of Dorje Chang Buddha. That is because in order to protect the true dharma, the Buddhas do not manifest realization powers at the sameholy level as the realization of Dorje Chang Buddha. Conversely, all demons lack the power to manifest such realization and therefore cannot manifest such realization.

When Sakyamuni Buddha lived in this world, Dorje Chang Buddha took birth as the holy and venerable Vimalakirti, who helped Sakyamuni Buddha teach the 500 monks and 8,000 Bodhisattvas. The holy and venerable Vimalakirti, who was the second incarnation of Dorje Chang Buddha, had the highest wisdom and the greatest ability to manifest supernatural powers as an expression of dharma. No other holy being could match Him.

H.H. Mahavairocana Tathagata formally pronounced that the third incarnation of Dorje Chang Buddha, H.H. Wan Ko Yeshe Norbu, must meet five conditions: He must successfully invoke the Buddhas to bestow nectar. He must be able to perform the Golden Vase Selection of Karmic Affinity and predict the results of that ceremony beforehand. He must be able to eliminate the karmic obstructions of disciples. He must be able to take mist, place it inside a hollowed out sculpted boulder, and have the mist stay there. He must be able to carve wondrous multicolored sculptures.

The formal pronouncement stated that no other holy being could repeat those five types of accomplishments. It also stated that if any other person of great holiness repeat those five types of accomplishments, then Mahavairocana Tathagata’s recognition that H.H. Wan Ko Yeshe Norbu is Dorje Chang Buddha is false, and the pronouncement has deceived the public in order to build up a false reputation.

The facts have proven that in this world there is no being of great holiness and virtue or even an expert who is able to match the accomplishments of H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III Wan Ko Yeshe Norbu. Furthermore, great dharma kings on the level of a Buddha or Bodhisattvahave unanimously recognized the identity of H.H. Wan Ko Yeshe Norbuthrough recognition certificates. This thoroughly proves that no one can get away with falsely claiming the identity or status of Dorje Chang Buddha.

In order to prevent demons from wreaking havoc by falsely claiming to be the incarnation of Dorje Chang Buddha, the required number of many holy beings must recognize the incarnation of Dorje Chang Buddha. Furthermore, many additional holy beings must bear witness to the veracity of the recognition and respectfully offer congratulations. The many holy beings who recognize the incarnation of Dorje Chang Buddha must be Buddhas, Bodhisattvas, or great dharma kings. Those who bear witness to the veracity of the recognition and respectfully offer congratulations must beextremely holy and virtuous Bodhisattvas. All of those who recognize, bear witness, and respectfully offer congratulations must be famous leaders within Buddhism and great rinpoches. If the identity of the person was notrecognized by those on such a holy level, if congratulations were not respectfully offered to him by those on such a holy level, and if he does not have legitimate recognition certificates, then his claims that he is a holy being are false.

People say, “So-and-so rinpoche is universally recognized as the incarnation of Buddha Vajradhara.” This way of speaking is based on heretical and erroneous understanding. It is not in accord with the rules of true Buddhism. Where is the realization of this rinpoche that an incarnation of Buddha Vajradhara would have? Does this rinpoche have complete proficiency in both exoteric and esoteric Buddhism? Does he have full mastery of the Five Vidyas? Which five dharma kings have recognized his identity as being Buddha Vajradhara and which ten dharma kings or rinpoches have certified that recognition? Can he show others a recognition certificate showing he is the third Buddha Vajradhara? Which several famous people of holy virtue respectfully offered congratulations to him for being recognized? No matter how high a certain monastic may be, if he does not have true realization and the required written recognitions andcongratulations stating he is the third incarnation of Buddha Vajradhara, then all claims by others that he is Buddha Vajradhara are flattery, exaggeration, and rumors.

Hence, one must understand that Buddha Vajradhara (金剛總持, jin gang zong chi) is 持金剛 (chi jin gang, which is a Buddha). On the other hand, a 金剛持 (jin gang chi) is a lama (master). Anyone who misinterprets a 金剛持(jin gang chi) as being a 持金剛  (chi jin gang) or Buddha Vajradhara is undoubtedly placing the status of a mere vajra master over that of Amitabha Buddha and other Buddhas. Such conduct is a terrible offense because according to the sutras and esoteric scriptures Buddha Vajradhara is Dorje Chang Buddha (持金剛   chi jin gang), the Master of the Five Buddhas and other Buddhas.

Master Wan Ko Yee (H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III) Has Made A Great Contribution To Art -1

The Explanation of the Buddha’s Title – “H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III

Since then, people began to address His Holiness the Buddha by “Namo[1] Dorje Chang Buddha III.” This is similar to the situation that Sakyamuni Buddha’s name was Prince Siddhartha Gotama before attaining Buddhahood.
